About Michael Hoover

I've been part of the Denver Metro dance community since 2001, helping people discover the joy of movement and connection on the dance floor.

My background includes years of professional competition in American Smooth and Amican Rhythm, along with numerous Top Teacher awards, but my focus has always been on the personal experience of the student in front of me.

​

For me, dance isn't about trophies. It's about the confidence, connection, and enjoyment people dicscover along the way.

A Passion for Beginners

My favorite part of teaching is helping someone take their very first steps.

Starting something new can feel a little vulnerable, so I focus on creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where people feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

When I'm not teaching, I love spending my free time dancing with my wife. It's also the only place where I'm allowed to be in charge.
